Dr. Pujan Dave is a fellowship-trained glaucoma and cataract specialist with expertise in both routine and complex surgical care. He provides a full spectrum of treatment, from medical management of glaucoma to advanced surgical techniques using the latest minimally invasive devices, and specializes in cataract surgery with premium and toric lens implants.
Trained at Johns Hopkins’ world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute, Dr. Dave is recognized for his commitment to patient-centered care and education. He takes time to explain conditions and treatment options clearly, ensuring patients feel informed and confident at every stage of their care.

Education & Training
Dr. Dave earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University before completing his Doctor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he received the Outstanding Senior Award, an honor given to fewer than 1% of graduating seniors. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute, consistently ranked the nation’s top ophthalmology residency program.
He then completed a fellowship in Intensive Clinical and Surgical Glaucoma at the Wilmer Eye Institute’s Glaucoma Center of Excellence, where he was awarded the Fellow Teaching Award, given to just one of fifteen fellows each year. Prior to ophthalmology, he completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
Memberships & Recognition
Dr. Dave is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He has authored textbook chapters on glaucoma and published research abstracts and articles in peer-reviewed journals, presenting his work at national and international ophthalmology meetings.
