Practicing since 1995, he combines extensive knowledge with a personable approach that puts patients at ease, whether fitting contact lenses, treating eye conditions, or caring for entire families.

Dr. Marc James is a comprehensive optometrist with over 30 years of experience delivering full-scope eye care to patients in the Charlotte area. His practice combines preventive vision care, management of ocular disease, and personalized optical solutions.

Education & Training

Dr. James earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington before completing his Doctor of Optometry at Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, PA. His clinical training included externships at the Feinbloom Low Vision Center, the Thomas Lynch Pediatric and Binocular Vision Unit, the Veterans Administrative Medical Center, and Carolina Eye Associates.

Dr. James has been inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society and served as a Southern Diplomat in Glaucoma and Corneal Disease, recognitions that reflect his clinical expertise and commitment to advancing optometric education and care.
