Paul E. Marvin, OD
Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Marvin received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Michigan Technological University. A recipient of the 1982 Nikon Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement, he spent a year in graduate studies at Wayne State University in Detroit. He then attended the Michigan College of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude.
Dr. Marvin began his career on staff at the University of Miami’s world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. There, he furthered his training in diagnosis and management of eye diseases. Dr. Marvin is a current or past member of several professional associations, including the Barnes-Hind Contact Lens Formulation Committee. He is a recipient of the Ave Custos Oculi Award for outstanding contact lens studies.

Dr. Marvin’s wife, Dr. Judy Hustead, is also a physician at Horizon Eye Care. They have two children, Jenna and Allison. Dr. Marvin’s interests include physics, astronomy, economics and Civil War history.
