Education:Dr. Rosen graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from EmoryUniversity in Atlanta, and received his M.D. degree from State University of New York – DownstateMedicalCenter.He completed a full internal medicine residency prior to beginning his residency training in ophthalmology.Following his ophthalmology residency at McGillUniversity in Montreal, Dr. Rosen completed a cornea fellowship at the University of Rochester, where he gained extensive experience in corneal transplantation, management of complex corneal disease, and advanced laser and microsurgical technique.During his fellowship, he participated in the FDA’s clinical trial of laser vision correction surgery.
Professional Highlights:Dr. Rosen was on the teaching staff of WillsEyeHospital in Philadelphia for six years, where he assisted in the training of ophthalmology residents.Having returned to Charlotte, where he first practiced ophthalmology after his training, Dr. Rosen remains involved with corneal transplantation clinical research, and is a member of the AmericanAcademy of Ophthalmology and the Cornea Society.
Special Interests:Laser vision correction, cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and management of corneal diseases are Dr. Rosen’s main professional interests.
Personal Background:Dr. Rosen is married with two children, and enjoys cycling.
