Education: After attending Drexel University in Philadelphia, Dr. Friedman earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Optometry degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. There, he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and was granted the Irvin M. Borish Award for Academic Scholarship. Following a residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Dr. Friedman started his professional practice in the Charlotte area where he has remained for over 25 years.
Professional Highlights: Dr. Friedman has served as a member and officer of various community and religious organizations including the Cornelius-Lake Norman Chapter of the International Association of Loins Clubs and the Country Club Shores Home Owners Association. He is a past instructor and lecturer for The Eye Institute and Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and a current consultant and board member of the Cornelius-Huntersville Police Communications Advisory Committee and senior advisor to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Safety Radio Communications Council.

Personal Background: Dr. Friedman and his wife, Jan, live at Lake Norman and have four children, Victoria, Robert, Heather and Eric.
