Contact lenses are effective and safe as an alternative to both glasses and refractive vision correction (LASIK). If you have chosen them for your own vision correction, you have a great deal of company. If you have been wearing glasses, you may now be able to switch to contact lenses if you wish, since technology has improved contact lenses enormously in recent years.
Before you can successfully wear contact lenses, you need to be examined to see if you are a good candidate for them. And once you are wearing them, you will need to have regular checkups so your eye doctor can monitor your eye health and how well the lenses are working.

One to Three-Month Disposable – these cost less and are very durable
Toric Lenses – soft lenses designed to correct astigmatism
Bifocal Lenses – to replace reading glasses or bifocal glasses
